Garage Logic Inc., doing business as Garagewise (“we,” “us”), explains here how we collect, use and share personal information when you visit garagewise.com, buy from us, or use the Garagewise mobile app. Questions? Email info@garagewise.com.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. This includes your name, email, phone number, mailing and billing addresses, and your account username and password. You give it to us when you create an account, place an order or contact us.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We don’t store your card number. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
App information. With your permission, the app may access your device’s Bluetooth, camera, SMS and push notifications to operate your Garagewise system. It also collects device details such as model, operating system and app version. You can change these permissions in your device settings.
Information collected automatically. When you use our website or app we collect your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, pages viewed, referring sites, and usage and error logs.
Cookies and analytics. We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, remember your cart, and measure traffic through Google Analytics, including its advertising features. We may also allow advertising partners to use cookies to show you relevant ads and cart reminders. See our [Cookie Policy]. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We don’t currently respond to Do-Not-Track signals.
Information from other sources. We may receive contact and marketing information from marketing partners and public sources.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- process orders and provide customer support
- run your account and the Garagewise app
- send service messages and, if you agree to them, marketing
- improve our products and website
- prevent fraud and keep our services secure
- meet legal requirements
Who We Share It With
We share information with service providers under contract, such as our payment processing, hosting, shipping, analytics and advertising providers. We may also share it if required by law, or as part of a merger or sale of our business.
We do not sell your personal information. Some advertising cookies may count as “sharing” for targeted advertising under California and other state laws. You can opt out by emailing info@garagewise.com [or through the “Your Privacy Choices” link].
How Long We Keep It
We keep personal information while your account is active and as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. We delete it no later than 24 months after your account closes.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Our services are not intended for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe we have, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your state (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and others), you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we have about you, and get a copy of it
- correct or delete it
- opt out of targeted advertising, sale or profiling
- limit the use of sensitive information, such as account login details
- appeal a decision we make about your request
- be free from discrimination for exercising these rights
To make a request, email info@garagewise.com. We’ll verify your identity before acting on it. You may use an authorized agent if you provide signed permission. If we deny your request, you can appeal by emailing us. If the appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.
California residents may also ask, once a year, which personal information we shared with third parties for their direct marketing.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, or reply STOP to texts.
